Adjustments do not erase anything. Enter the quantity as a plain positive number and choose the direction above. Correcting a double entry is a decrease.
Count the stock and enter the counted balance in Quantity. This records that a balance check was done. It does not change the register balance.
Private prescriptions, emergency supplies, and POM sales. Private Schedule 2 & 3 CDs must also be recorded here (and Sch 2 submitted to NHSBSA on FP10PCD).
Controlled drugs returned by patients. These are not stock: they never go into the CD register or its balance. Destroy them from Returns & destruction.
Patient-returned and expired CDs are recorded here, separately from the running-balance register.
Destruction of Sch 1&2 CDs must be witnessed by an authorised person. Denature before disposal (DOOP). Ensure the Senior/Stock Inspector is informed.
